Our Story

The idea first came to Callum while living in Darwin in 2023. Always open-minded and experimental by nature, he found himself frustrated by the lack of quality options on the market. Most of what was available felt cheap, awkward, or uncomfortable and rarely matched the level of intention or care he wanted in the bedroom. So Callum decided he would make something better. He taught himself leatherwork from scratch and spent the next year refining his skills to create a set of high quality handcuffs which would last.
Artisan handcuffs weren’t something you heard much about and most people didn't get it. But when he told Zanda the story during a beach walk in Hobart about a year later, it clicked. Zanda saw the bigger picture - a high-end, beautifully branded company that made bondage gear people could be proud to own. A few days later, he approached Callum with a simple idea: let’s build it together.
From there, things got serious. Callum built a mobile workshop and continued perfecting his craft while travelling across Australia in a caravan. The designs improved, the concept matured, and eventually they both agreed it was time to settle down and build something real. Along with their partners, they all relocated to Noosa on the Sunshine Coast where Sweet Sweet Freaks was born.
